Abstract: El Ministerio de Salud Pública en coordinación con la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), ha trabajado en el seguimiento a la enfermedad desde que se emitió la alerta mundial. El 29 de febrero de 2020 se confirmó el primer caso de esta enfermedad en el Ecuador y se activó el COE Nacional para la coordinación de la emergenci.
